Albany Bike Rescue

Albany Bike Rescue (ABR) is a volunteer run organization serving the capital region since 2003.  Using discarded and donated bicycles, ABR teaches bicycle maintenance and repair to increase the knowledge and skills of those attending our bicycle repair workshops.  Participants work toward earning a bike while learning bike repair skills.  The bicycles that we repair provide a means to practical, affordable transportation and helps promote environmental sustainability and healthy living in our communities.

Albany Bike Rescue has been located at Trinity Alliance, 15 Trinity Place, Albany NY since October 2005 and is open two evenings per week year round.   This past year we assisted approximately 1600 people ranging in ages from 5 to 65.
