Description of Program:
SNUG uses a public health approach to reduce not only the killings, but also the community’s acceptance of the violent conditions in which they live. Among the steps SNUG takes to do this are:
- Public education campaigns: shootings are not acceptable.
- Partnerships with community based organizations, faith leaders, service providers and police.
- Focus on individuals who are at high risk to create alternative paths to success.
